Homage to Banksy

Homage to Banksy

In the charming Cotswold town of Woodstock, residence of the gracefully well-adjusted and habitually self discerning; where the admired and graceful assemble to relax, slow down, ‘discover’ and refine their cultural palette...disorder is descending.

Forget knitting, tea and church, locals are indulging in spray paint, descending into the infectious world of Graffiti artists. Fanatics are flocking to Woodstock to experience an exhibition that re-defines revolutionary, blows up the boundaries and sets the standard for contemporary art in unpredictable environments.

In one case, a local would be artist has seemingly infiltrated an exhibition in the Oxfordshire Musuem  and ‘exhibited’ some of his or her own Banksy inspired works, in homage maybe to the distinctive 6ft stencil piece that has appeared, covering the front of Woodstock’s own Creative Art Gallery.

It seems the writings on the wall for this once sleepy Cotswold town...for now at least!
